CRAFTVILLE is a Nashville-based not for profit organization dedicated to nurturing the craftsperson in everyone. Through conversation, encouragement, and education, we provide a nest for Nashvillians to create and share their handmade goods. Our dream is to be the heart of the city's crafting community.

We're getting super crafty with it....

...in the Craftville pop-up shop!

In addition to bringing Craft Night back we will also be teaching classes!

Robyn will be leading a class on how to turn your empty wine bottles into outdoor lanterns. Not only is this a great upcycling project but these lanterns can transform your back yard or patio into a beautiful living space. We will supply all of the materials. There is a $10 fee for this class. For class times check out the class schedule at the end of this blog post.

Emily will be teaching a class on making super adorable wine toppers out of your old corks. Why throw those corks away when you can reuse them! These wine toppers make great gifts and can add some personal flair to your wine collection. We will supply all of the materials. There will be a $5 fee for this class. For class times check out the class schedule at the end of this blog post.

Craftville's Craft Night Is Back .....

... and will be taking place in our store during

the Porter Crossing Arts Market!

Craftville hosted it's first craft night a year and and three months ago. Held in a classroom at Watkins College of Art, Design and Film, Emily and I gathered up some craft supplies and proceeded to teach a tutorial on how to make tissue paper flowers.  We started craft night to raise interest in out newly developed ETSY Team, to teach others new crafty skill sets, and to just have some plain good old fashioned fun. At that time we had no idea as to how much our craft nights would grow or how they would develop into becoming a staple of Craftville.

Over the past couple of months we have been so busy with various arts/flea/craft markets that we have only been able to host a craft night once a month during the Hillsboro Village Art Walk. Lately we have been getting e-mails and facebook messages inquiring as to when we will start hosting our Craft Nights again. It seems that you ladies and gents enjoyed them as much as we did :-)

So, In celebration of our first ever pop-up store

Craftville is bringing Craft Night back!

For this month's Craft Night, we decided to do things a little differently. Instead of leading a pre-determined tutorial, we decided to gather up an eclectic mix of supplies: pin backs, felt, fabric scraps, buttons, ribbon, pom poms, yarn, embroidery floss, etc. and let you guys have at it to see what YOU creative folks can come up with! We can't wait to see the results.

Come on down to Craftville and join us

Saturday September 10, 2011

from 7-9 pm.

Craftville will also be hosting its very first kids' crafting corner where will be teaching the younger ones how to make these super cute pencil toppers! The kids crafting table will open at 2:00pm and run until 6:00pm.

Looking forward to crafting with you soon,

Robyn
